9 is number of doors, S=4door, W=5door

10 is Engine Type, 50=B5234T4, 51=B5252S, 55=5254FS, 57=B52334FT, 58=B5234T5

11 is an emissions code

12 is a check figure

13 is the model year

14 Factory code

15 is the Vechicle serial number

16 is market code

17 is the interior Trim code

18 is the paint code number for the car

19 Special vechicle number

20 is Spring support

21 Stabilizer bar front

22 Shock absorbers rear

23 is the rear spring

24 Stabilizer bar rear

25 is Bump rubber rear, front.

Most of the information on the ID plate is used by the parts department when they need interior trim code, paint codes or suspension information.
